The Broad Channel Athletic Club (BCAC) was established in 1961 by community members and continues to serve the community today. Home of the Shamrocks, we offer youth sports leagues for kids ages 5–14 (grades K–8) year-round — including swimming, softball, basketball, football, soccer, baseball, volleyball, flag football, and track — along with community events like our legendary Mardi Gras celebration.
CYO swim team for Boys & Girls from 1st - 9th Grade. This is a fall and winter program. Practices are during the week at the Arverne YMCA, meets are Friday nights at Ft Hamilton or Bayside High School.
Shamrocks youth summer basketball for boys and girls ages 5–14 with skills clinics and games.
Shamrocks youth tackle football for ages 5–14 with full equipment. Fall season with playoffs.
Shamrocks In-house is an intro to soccer for ages 3–5. Starting in the 1st grade it will become a CYO travel league.
Shamrocks In-house is an intro to baseball for ages 3–7. Starting in the 3rd grade it will become a travel league.
CYO girls volleyball for 4th - 9th grade. Practices are local to Broad Channel with travel games all over Queens.
